Before installing Trend Micro programs and apps, it's a good idea to check your device's operating system (OS) version. This ensures your device meets the minimum system requirements for a smooth installation. Follow the steps below for your device.


On Windows Laptop or Desktop

  1. Click Start ⊞, then go to Settings > System > About.
  2. Under Windows specifications, check your Edition and Version.

You should now see your Windows edition (e.g., Windows 11 Home) and version number. ✅

🔔 Tip: You can also press Windows key + R, type winver, and press Enter to quickly see your Windows version.

On Mac

  1. Click the Apple menu  in the top-left corner of your screen.
  2. Select About This Mac.
  3. A window will appear showing your macOS name (e.g., macOS Sonoma) and version number (e.g., 14.5).

You should now see your macOS version. ✅

🔔 Note: On macOS Ventura (13) and later, the System Preferences app has been renamed to System Settings. The steps above work on all macOS versions.

On Android Phone or Tablet

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Scroll down and tap About Phone or About Device.
  3. Look for Android Version.

You should now see your Android version number (e.g., Android 14). ✅

🔔 Note: The exact menu path may differ depending on your device brand. For example:
  • Samsung: Settings > About Phone > Software Information
  • Google Pixel: Settings > About Phone > Android Version

On iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap General > About.
  3. Check the iOS Version field.

You should now see your iOS or iPadOS version (e.g., iOS 26.2). ✅
