If your Trend Micro Internet Security from Best Buy is showing a "Protection Disabled" error and can't update to the latest version, don't worry — a quick reinstall will get you back to full protection. This guide walks you through uninstalling and reinstalling the software on Windows.
Step 1: Uninstall Trend Micro Internet Security
- Hold the Windows key and press R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog.
- Type Supporttool.exe and click OK.
- In the Diagnostic Toolkit window, click the (C) Uninstall tab.
- Click (5) Stop All Components and wait for it to complete.
- Click (1) Uninstall Software and follow the on-screen prompts.
