Safe AI Automator lets Kaleida work with connected services on your behalf. Once you authorize Google Calendar, Kaleida can help you check your schedule, add events, and set reminders — right from chat. Each family member connects their own calendar individually.

It's a simple, one-time setup — follow along below and you'll be all set in just a few taps!

Before You Begin

  • You'll need the Google account whose calendar you want to connect, signed in on your device.
  • Connect the calendar on the device belonging to the person whose schedule it is — Kaleida manages each member's own calendar.
  • Children aged 8–12 can't have Kaleida perform calendar actions on their behalf.

Connecting Your Google Calendar

  1. Open the TrendLife App and start a chat with Kaleida.
  2. Ask Kaleida to connect your calendar — for example, "Connect my Google Calendar." Kaleida will provide an authorization link.

  3. Tap the link and sign in with the Google account you want to connect.

  4. When Google shows a warning that reads "This app hasn't been verified by Google yet," tap Advanced, then Go to TrendLife (unsafe) to continue.
  5. Review the permissions and approve access. Kaleida will confirm in chat once your calendar is connected.

🔔 Important Note: The "unverified app" warning is expected during the beta — TrendLife's Google verification is still pending. It's safe to proceed.

Using Kaleida with Your Calendar

Once connected, just ask Kaleida naturally in chat. For example:

  • "What's on my calendar tomorrow?"
  • "Add a dentist appointment on Friday at 3 PM."
  • "Remind me about the school recital next week."

Troubleshooting: Known Issues to Be Aware Of

  • You can't switch Google accounts. There's no way to log out or change the account partway through the authorization flow. If you pick the wrong account, close the flow, sign out of that account in your browser or Gmail app, then start over.
  • Restricted accounts may be blocked. School or work-managed Google accounts often block third-party access, so calendar tasks may fail. Use a personal Google account where possible.
  • Confirmations may appear in Chinese. Kaleida sometimes sends calendar confirmations in Chinese regardless of your device language. This is a known issue — report it if it persists.
  • Main calendar only. Kaleida works with your primary Google Calendar; other calendar categories aren't supported yet. Multi-day events may also need manual syncing in Google Calendar.
  • Overview tab may not refresh. After scheduling a task or reminder via chat, the Overview window may not update right away.
