The plan owner manages who's part of the family group in TrendLife App and can remove a member entirely, while any member can choose to leave on their own. Access restrictions for minors are handled through built-in age rules and Family Values rather than a single per-member toggle.

Removing a Family Member (Plan Owner Only)

  1. Open a chat with Kaleida and ask to remove the member — for example, “Remove [name] from my family.”
  2. Confirm the removal when Kaleida asks you to verify — this is a safeguard against removing the wrong person.
  • You can also revoke a pending invitation before it's accepted, the same way — just ask Kaleida.
  • The plan owner can't remove themselves, and can't delete the family this way.

Note: Removing a member ends their connection to the family and deletes their shared memory data with Kaleida, along with the license access they had through your plan.

Leaving the Family (For a Family Member)

If a family member wants to leave on their own instead of being removed by the owner:

  1. Open the TrendLife App and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Leave Family Plan.
  3. Confirm when prompted — you'll see a warning before the change is finalized.

Note: Leaving disconnects that member from the family and deletes their shared memory data, the same as being removed.

Restricting a Family Member's Access

TrendLife doesn't currently offer a single per-feature access toggle for adult family members. Access for minors, specifically, is managed through two built-in mechanisms:

  • Family Values: Conduct and behavior rules — like interaction tone or food restrictions — that only the plan owner can set. These are applied specifically to minors in the family.
  • Built-in age gates: Children under 8 can't be invited to a family at all. Members under 12 can't have Kaleida perform automated actions (like Google Calendar tasks) on their behalf. Learning Buddy — Kaleida's age-appropriate learning mode — is only available to children under 18 with parent consent, with responses tailored to the child's age band and a weekly summary sent to the parent.

Note: If you need finer, per-feature restriction beyond what's listed here (e.g., limiting a specific adult member's access to one CDLP feature), that isn't available today — flag it to the Kaleida product team as a gap rather than expecting an existing setting.
