Kaleida doesn't have a built-in screen time or usage limit feature. To control how long your child uses the TrendLife App, use the parental controls built into their phone's operating system — Screen Time on iPhone and iPad, or Digital Wellbeing on Android.

Setting a Time Limit on iPhone or iPad
- On your child's device, open Settings and tap Screen Time.
- Tap App Limits, then Add Limit.
- Find and select the TrendLife app.
- Set your daily time allowance and tap Add.
Note: Set a Screen Time passcode that your child doesn't know, so the limit can't simply be dismissed.
Setting a Time Limit on Android
- On your child's device, open Settings and tap Digital Wellbeing & parental controls.
- Tap Dashboard to see the app list.
- Find TrendLife and tap the timer icon beside it.
- Set your daily time allowance and confirm.
Note: Menu names vary slightly between Android manufacturers — look for “Digital Wellbeing,” “App timer,” or “Screen time” in Settings. Google Family Link can also manage limits remotely from your own phone.
What You Can Control Inside the TrendLife App
While usage duration is handled by the OS, the plan owner can shape how Kaleida behaves with children:
- Family Values: Set conduct and behavior rules — like interaction tone or dietary restrictions — that apply to minors. Only the plan owner can change these.
- Age-appropriate responses: Kaleida automatically adapts how it phrases things based on your child's age band (8–11, 12–13, and 14–17).
- Automated action limits: Children aged 8–12 can't have Kaleida perform actions like Google Calendar scheduling on their behalf.
- Built-in guardrails: Kaleida declines to answer inappropriate requests, regardless of who is asking.
Keeping an Eye on Your Child's Engagement
- You'll receive a weekly summary of your child's general engagement and learning progress with Kaleida.
- You can also ask Kaleida directly about your child's app usage.
Note: You won't see your child's actual questions or conversation details — only a high-level summary. This is by design, to respect your child's privacy while keeping you informed.
