Default Collection

TrendLife Kaleida automatically collects and transmits the following data, some of which may be considered personal data in certain jurisdictions, after installing or enabling the product. It is necessary to collect this data to provide the security functions of this product. Therefore, you cannot disable these features. If you do not want Trend Micro (herein, "TrendLife") to access this data, you should uninstall and stop using the product.

TrendLife Account

DESCRIPTION	If the user does not want this data to be collected, the user should NOT sign in and should NOT create a TrendLife Account.

User Profile Data

AI Assistant - Kaleida

DESCRIPTION	Kaleida is an AI assistant within the TrendLife Kaleida App. When you chat with Kaleida, it reads your messages and makes brief notes about things you mention — like your schedule, habits, preferences, and activities. Kaleida uses these notes to give you more helpful, personalised responses over time. What Kaleida has learned about you is private by default. It is not shared with other members of your family group unless you ask Kaleida to share it. When a child in your family group uses the Learning Buddy feature, Kaleida reads their messages and makes brief notes about what it has learned about their learning habits and how they engage with questions. Kaleida uses these notes to respond to your child in an age-appropriate way and to prepare a weekly learning summary for the parent or guardian. What Kaleida has learned about your child is kept separate from the rest of the family group. It is not shared with other family members. The parent or guardian can read, correct, or delete it at any time.
DATA COLLECTED	Kaleida collects information in the following situations: When a signed-in user sends a message to Kaleida When a signed-in user uploads an image or PDF file to Kaleida When a child member of your family group uses the Learning Buddy feature When you interact with Kaleida, it collects the content of your conversations — including your messages, Kaleida's responses, any files you upload, and your feedback (such as thumbs up or thumbs down on a response). Kaleida also collects the following: Security check results — when you ask Kaleida to check something for a potential scam, Kaleida records what was checked and the result Security event detections — events detected by TrendLife Kaleida's security features, including Message Filter, Call Block, Web Guard, Dark Web Monitor, and Deepfake monitoring For child members using Learning Buddy, Kaleida also collects the content of their conversations with Learning Buddy and makes notes about what it has learned about their learning habits over time. By default, your information is private. Configurable Features

The TrendLife Kaleida includes the following features, which may collect and transmit the following data, some of which may be considered personal in certain jurisdictions, to TrendLife. You can disable any of these features at any time to prevent the corresponding data from being sent to TrendLife.

Third Party Service - Google Calendar

DESCRIPTION	If you choose to share your Google calendar events with all family members, TrendLife Kaleida will request Google calendar services permission to share calendar events to family members to help organize and manage schedules.  This access allows the TrendLife Kaleida to read, create, modify, or interact with a user’s calendar events on user’s behalf. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. TrendLife does not use the data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI/ML models, nor do we use it for targeted advertising or user profiling. The use and transfer of raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Message Filter

DESCRIPTION	Message Filter (including SMS filtering and notification content filtering) is a feature that helps users block spam, scam, or unwanted messages. TrendLife Kaleida scans SMS/MMS messages from unknown senders as well as any app notification content containing a URL. If a message or notification includes suspicious links, spam content, scam content, or an unwanted keyword, TrendLife Kaleida will display a notification to alert the user. TrendLife Kaleida will also share these detected metrics with the Kaleida for status summary and analysis. TrendLife does not use this data to develop, improve, or train AI/ML models, nor for targeted advertising or user profiling.
DATA COLLECTED	SMS Filter scans new messages from unknown senders and stores the following data: SMS/MMS content (which may include personal and sensitive personal data, URL, phone number, etc) Sender ID (email or phone number) The notification content which is within URL. The collected data is deleted after 6 months.

Call Block

DESCRIPTION	Call Block blocks scam or spam calls. TrendLife Kaleida will share call block metrics with the Kaleida for status summary and analysis. TrendLife does not use this data to develop, improve, or train AI/ML models, nor for targeted advertising or user profiling. This data will be used to enhance the spam and scam call detection.

Web Guard

DESCRIPTION	Web Guard protects you while you browse the web. If you attempt to visit a dangerous website, Web Guard will block access and warn you. These data will be used to enhance the malicious and dangerous URL detection. TrendLife Kaleida will share URL metrics with Kaleida for status summary and analysis. TrendLife does not use this data to develop, improve, or train AI/ML models, nor for targeted advertising or user profiling.

Darkweb Monitor

DESCRIPTION	Darkweb Monitor helps users monitor personal data leak events and notify users when a monitored personal data has been leaked in the dark web. Darkweb Monitor stores masked value of personal information to protect our customers privacy and provide essential information and only uses the hash value of personal information to constantly monitor whether that personal information has been leaked or stolen. Darkweb Monitor will only share these leak event metrics with Kaleida for status summary and analysis. TrendLife does not use the data to develop, improve, or train AI/ML models, nor do we use it for targeted advertising or user profiling.

AI Video Scan

DESCRIPTION	The Deepfake Video Inspector uses AI to detect deep fakes in video content. TrendLife Kaleida only collects the detected results which includes the event detected time and detected result (not including the video content itself).
DATA COLLECTED	When there is a detection event using Deepfake Video Inspector, the detected result will be provided to Kaleida and Kaleida will provide the result output to the user. TrendLife does not use this data to develop, improve or train AI/ML models, nor for targeted advertising or user profile. The collected data is deleted after 6 months.
