Kaleida is TrendLife's AI service for families. The name is inspired by the kaleidoscope — reflecting the idea of gently moving with your family's rhythm, always nearby, quietly looking out for you. It's built so everyone in the family, from kids to grandparents, can use it with confidence. Kaleida includes six main capabilities:

• Privacy Shield — automatically hides personal details like your name and contact information before anything is sent to the AI
• Family Intelligence — gradually learns each family member's habits, preferences, and schedule to help support day-to-day life
• Learning Buddy — helps kids build their own thinking skills through guided support, not just answers

• Security & Protection — helps protect your family from scams and unauthorized access in real time

Search for "TrendLife" in the App Store or Google Play, then install it. Kaleida is built right into the TrendLife app — there's nothing separate to download once you have it.

You can add family members to your plan — plans come in 4-member or 6-member sizes. Everyone needs their own account and email address. You'll share a download link or QR code with them, and they'll sign in using the email you registered for them.

Kaleida works on both Android and iOS phones and tablets.

Open the app and tap the invite icon, or simply tell Kaleida "I want to invite a family member." Enter their name and email, then share the app link or QR code with them. One tip: have them sign up using that same email rather than "Sign in with Apple" — Apple's quick sign-in doesn't always share an email address, which can make it harder to connect them to your family plan.

Absolutely. Kaleida works great on its own, with no one else added. It's built with families in mind, but you can use it solo and invite others whenever you're ready.

A few things set Kaleida apart: it's built for your whole family to share (with each person's privacy protected), it automatically shields personal details before sending anything to the AI, it can take real actions like helping manage your calendar, and it comes bundled with scam and phishing protection — all in the same app you already trust.

Most settings are set up separately on each device. The one exception is your automation settings (like calendar connections) — those do carry across your devices.

Not yet — right now Kaleida works on phones and tablets. Support for browsers and the web is planned for later.

Your phone's own lock screen keeps things protected if it's lost. And since Kaleida is tied to your account (not the device), you can sign in on another phone with the same account and pick up right where you left off.

Not necessarily. You can add them to the family plan ahead of time, and they simply sign in later with the matching email to get started — Kaleida provides simple built-in guidance from there. Of course, family members are always welcome to lend a hand.

TrendLife is Trend Micro's "life partner for the AI era." It helps protect your family's digital life from scams, impersonation, and AI-related threats. TrendLife includes a range of security products and services, including Kaleida, our AI service built for families.

You can create a TrendLife account for free. We ask you to register an account so you can use Kaleida with confidence. Information you provide, like your email and name, is protected by Trend Micro and handled carefully in line with our Privacy Policy. If you have any concerns about registering, feel free to reach out to the Help Center — we're happy to walk you through it.

Install the TrendLife Kaleida app on your new device, then sign in with the same TrendLife account you used before — your license carries over automatically. You don't have to uninstall the app from your old device, though if there's a limit on how many devices can be signed in, it's a good idea to sign out from the old one first. If you don't remember your account email or password, recover your account before you switch.
